Why not use a different filemanager?
The standard filemanager is good for newbies IMO.

Haha, because I dont know? Because I don't use it that much and the defaul is already installed I like to keep the number of applications in my menu to a minimum and I like the standard fileman because of it's speed and it just gets the job done. Nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes, filebox is a bit slow , hamster-filer is currently in devel so the standard is for me enough except it doesn't look in home.

Anyway, I thought filemanager is part of the hildon-DE, it should have just like the big DEs an option to view system files.

Have to admit, it's not really neccesary because of the 3rd party apps

But it would be nice to be able to enable it, nevertheless.

Hildon should start on the lockscreen. When you power up the phone (especially battery-switchers) you have to wait for it to boot before putting it in your pocket.
