I've only tested a snapshot and not a built package so far. The snaptshot did work.

O.K, For some reason it will not start on my N810. Tried in a terminal window and got back not found .

In the terminal what specifically did you try and was there anything else reported?
I might have forgotten to update the .desktop file or the top level script it calls.
~$ dialcentral -sh: dialcentral : not found
