Hello guys

I have seen other people having this issue and I have tried their fix.. nothing has fixed mine.

This started after I installed Facebook plugins... since then I have removed all facebook apps. reinstalled kernel (I think the right one).

Not sure how continue to troubleshoot this.
Where is the error logs?

Is there anyway I can reinstall the email client (Modest .. I think thats what its called)?

What does this plug? For something we hooked up? Have you checked the remains after uninstallation?

I am sorry Isota ... I am confused with your first two questions. I haven't seen any remains of facebook ... but again not sure how to verify.

I had a similar issue with rss. after i deleted the config files the app ran again.
you might try to delete the prefs in

/home/user/.modest/

make a bakup before you do it.

hope it helps.

I was able to remove the .modest folder. the error message stopped coming. but when i tried to start up email application the error message started again and email application didnt even start.

help!!!

Hmm... Haven't you done anything related to gcc? It can be using Debian repos in your sources.list file...
It can be downloading the newer version...

also your issue seems to be more direct to a calender problem, while mine is with email. as you can see from the screenshot, my calender is working great. Just my email application does not start.
