Anyone know of a good torrent app yet? ive heard of transmission but its only in beta and has trouble multitasking when downloading something? thanks in advance

i think it is the only torrent app around right now correct me if i'm wrong

There is Transmissions in the Maemo Extra Test App repo.
CAUTION: Using this repo at your own risk as the beta apps can make your phone un-stable.

any improvement to this torrent app? is there another that doesnt eat as much ram?

all torrent clients are resource hungry if they're downloading large amounts. you could try throttling the bandwidth and see if it helps. but i find it easiest to save the .torrent file to memory and then add them when i'm not using the phone, or leave it charging overnight and download.

I think the biggest problem with Transmission on the N900 from what I've read is the number of connections it tries to make overwhelms the N900. Try reducing that if you have Transmission issues.

if you install easy debian you can install via synaptic many torrent apps like azureus

I repartition /home to 16 GB for storing > 4GB file and use rtorrent.
