Hello everyone,

I am looking for a mindmapping software for my NOKIA N800.
Is there any out there?
Until now I was not very successful in searching.
Any hint is welcome.

I was using MindManager for PocketPC.
So the other option would be an emulation of Windows PocketPC running on the N800. Which would let me run MindManager in it.
Is there any?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
-Adrian

Very interesting that you posted this today... I was just using FreeMind and thought, "y'know, this would be extremely valuable on the IT!".

So yes, I second the request... anyone know of anything like MindManager or FreeMind for the IT?

Now that Java is close to being usable, maybe Freemind might work.
I'm not sure though, as I understand the Java that is being ported is not a full implementation.
Anyone know if the it's capable of running Freemind?

The closest I could come was with some of the net-based software listed here:

Mindomo is pretty good, for example.

I was also searching for a mindmapping solution, but I think I will use the solution below for now.

At first I just tried the "freemind -> File -> Export -> As flash..." functionality and was happy to find out that the result is viewable on your NIT.

Now I just found a Python script to convert an outline like this:

Code:
root
    branch1
        leaf1
        leaf2
    branch2
    branch3
to a simple .mm file. You can view this file with the flash freemind browser included with freemind.

So you can use vimouliner to write your outline (or just plain vim), run this script and view the file in your browser.

At the moment this is a manual task but it would not be to difficult to automate this further using vim and python.

Here is the link to the text-to-freemind python script:

Someone is porting labyrinth (see in garage). Best to wait for him.

I have an early hildonized version (by me), but couldn't complete it, so didn't release it here.

This is the official page:
