Yup, me again, only this time with the up-to-date PyQt on the N900...
I've had this happen to me twice recently... See the screen below :
It's a simple PlainTextEdit under a couple of buttons and a Line edit. Right now it looks just fine, if a bit drab.
This is what happens if I add a style to the PTE to make its background-color yellow... just one more line in the UI file :
Much prettier, but unreadable :-)
Am I doing something stupid ? I already had something similar in another window of the same app - it was a plain, unmodified Line edit that would turn to garbage when the screen was rotated. It finally went away when I removed a splitter that shouldn't have been there anyway.
But there are no splitters in this one, and no rotation either... how can I have my yellow BG please ?...
Well, no explanation has been forthcoming, and I don't have one either.
All I can say is that something isn't playing well with styles here, because if I remove the style on the PTE, and set its "base" colour through the palette, the display is back to normal just like on the PC.
