I plan on keeping a good number of apps and browser windows open, significantly more than I currently do on my N810, obviously.

The whole idea is to keep things running, thanks to the 1GB of application memory, so I don't really care if certain apps do take a while to launch. In reality most background processes will barely be consuming any resources beyond virtual memory as they will be in a sleeping power saving state most of time.

As Maemo is a true Linux OS, it's also very easy to adjust the priorities (in fine increments, unlike Windows) of running processes to maintain a responsive user experience, even on those occasions when the device is really being pushed to it's limits.
