I haven't managed to find another discussion of this issue, but if there is, please point me to it . . .

So I get the error: "Oops, downloading did not work" every time I start the sailfish browser. It is true that the download in question didn't work and won't ever work. There's some kind of bug in the hosting website, I think.

But I get the error every session now. I can clear out the transfers list, but that doesn't make it go away. I suppose if the website in question finally responds to the request, the browser would stop retrying, but that's out of my control. The warnings pile up, I delete them, and more keep coming from this zombie download.

How do I stop it? There must be a list of incomplete transfers somewhere that the browser looks at each run so it knows to restart, but I haven't found it to fix it. Ideas?

You need to edit/delete the downloads.json file you can find it under "/home/nemo/.mozilla".

Aha, it's this topic that addresses both this issue and a separate Android problem.

And that does it. the file is specifically:
Code:
/home/nemo/.mozilla/mozembed/downloads.json
Deleting the file does the trick.

just in case anyone else reads the above and is confused - the file is actually
Code:
/home/nemo/.mozilla/mozembed/downloads.json

Thanks for catching that. I didn't notice when cut-n-pasting on the phone that I made that omission. Above post is now edited for improved accuracy and best justice.
