Something to wait for! Excellent news.

Edit: I assume you can't run Android apps on the device as it's a community port (=no alien dalvik)?

Can anyone tell who is being equipped with a prototype?
I would like to send donations to speed up work!!!
Sledges and Vakkov have had FP2s for a few weeks now, not sure donations are required at this stage

But no official support for it... I don't really want to give 525 EUR for a half baked product - Nexus 5 is half of that and also has a community port.

sure, but fairphone is not just a product it has an ideal behind. however i was hoping that it would be official supported. they could since both official company agree on the port.

As Fairphone is communicating already officially on Sailfish Topic, i suspect them to get the train rolling (support porters) and then hump on it officially when a stable port is achieved!

I hope FP2 doesn't get "proper" Sailfish port and official support. Because if it does I might be tempted to buy one and I think I've spent my tech budjet already.
