Hi guys .. well the thread title explains pretty much what I'm in need of .. I need a program to run in background on my N900 which automatically records all calls I receive from or place to a specific number .. I already am aware of a tool called 'recaller' which can record calls, but recording using this program needs to be done manually ... i need a program that starts recording automatically ..

any ideas ?

Recaller can record calls automatically...Just Enable AutoRec Option in the recaller widget settings.

alright thanks for pointing that out .. ill try it out in a sec .. but is there anyway to make it only record when there's a call being placed, or one being received from the specific number ? .. I wouldn't want all calls to be recorded ..

In Recaller it is not possible to record only the specific number. Recaller will normally starts recording when ever you make a call(It will record even before the call gets connected)

I love Recaller. Just wish it would record SIP/VoIP calls.

Try the version in Extras-Devel (2.1), it should stop these annoying hangs.
(But it still can't record a specific number, sorry :-)

you could always modify the source yourself. it's python. it shouldn't be harder than adding a line like if (number == "1234567")
