My roku soundbridge could wake me up in the morning with a buzzer, MP3, FM radio, or internet radio. It could also put me to sleep at night with a sleep timer.
A key feature was that the alarm would play out of the speakers even if headphones were still plugged in. Also the alarm would play at high volume despite the low volume setting from the previous night.
Unfortunately those things had horrid power supplies and mine finally blew. As I was cobbling together a new power supply I tried using my N900 instead.
I found a sleep timer in the repos, trying it now.
Can anyone think of a way to use an internet radio station as an alarm? I could try using alarmed to run a script to start playing a station, any other ideas?
