Nokia N900 with standard joe-average setup. What is best way to monitor directory for specific files and send file with email if found. Especially what method is power efficient, what tools OS have for this purpose. Please advice. Thanks!

I don't have the details but I think a python script using the kernel's inotify capability would work here. That is where I'd start my research if I were doing this.
