Update the phone to PR1.3, then
Code:
sudo gainroot
apt-get update
apt-get install starhash-enabler

PR1.3 is the latest Firmware available from Nokia servers for the N900. Open Settings application scroll down to something according to 'Product Info' (this might vary with localization of your phone), read and compare Version number: 20.2010.36-2 is PR1.3

Either:
Open HildonApplicationManager application, click 'Install', wait a couple of minutes for the refresh of the repository lists, then ' *# Starhash Enabler' might just be the first application available on the list.

Or:
You need rootsh installed for this to work. Open X-Terminal application and type the following commands, one line = one command
Code:
sudo gainroot
apt-get update
apt-get install starhash-enabler
Please feel free to come back, if errors or uncertainties remain.
