1. Can't play any files i put in there beside the MP4? I put in Avi, wmv and they don't play?? What's going on?? Do i need to update the firmware or something and where?

those will appear to you also with no need to change any settings if you just have patience to wait that the software gets updates to stability etc and goes through QA process.

Regarding your questions,

2. Firefox is still in beta. Video and audio support is still very slow. Better stick to the default browser.

3. Dunno anything about this. Everything works smoothly for me.

4. You will need to enable the extras-devel repository for that. NOTE: These are apps that are currently under testing, they can be very un-stable.

What the hell is that? Latest Firefox beta is version 3.6, latest stable is 3.5.

Re videos. When I first used my device it was slow as h*ll and didn't like playing videos. After an unwanted spontaneous reboot, it's behaved like a champ, and has played every video (xvid, etc.) that I've thrown at it.
