simply set up a hotmail exchange account on your n900 which will ensure all your contacts are synced to your email account...
As long as its the same account as set-up on the lumia 800 your contacts will sync between the two devices...

transfer your n900 files to pc using winscp (desktop) and openssh(n900) you can transfer it thru wifi 
then plug your lumia to get the files from pc
then plug your lumia to get the files from pc
Any ideas?
