I want to stretch out the brightness of N900. I mean to have the lowest possible when light meter is completely dark, and the highest possible under sunlight so that I don't have to use the brightness applet at all. The auto mode is good but it doesn't get to the limits.
I don't know f I have explained it correctly I want more aggressive auto brightness.

Does anybody know how to tweak the brightness control? Where is the brightness configuration file, if any?

It didn't solve the problem. I still need to turn down the light in dark environments and up in well lit ones. Any ideas about the lighting control? mce.ini maybe?
