I've encountered a problem and can't find any solution or even mention of such.

I can't set alarm, and my phone rebooted after couple of tries.
Thats what i get when trying to set my alarm clock:

Before it happened i installed smartcam, power menu qml, and tried running gstreamer from this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31567&page=3

Tried reinstalling clockreminderplugin, didn't work.
Any help?

I had a similar issue a few months back. Sadly i could find no way to fix it either inspite of searching a lot. I had to flash my phone for some other reason and only then did it get fixed.

Possibly a memory issue? How are you on free space?

I still have over 6GB of free space. I used alarm the day before it happened, it was ok, i didn't do much on my phone that day, apart from installing packages mentioned before.

I believe this may be because of openmode kernel

nped seems to be Nokia Positioning Engine Daemon, but what it has to do with alarm clock?
are there any other logs worth looking into?
I don't want to go the easy way and just flash my phone, i believe there is a way to fix this.

I have no idea, but I do believe also there is another solution (just need to find). And love your attitude (going the hard way ).
I think you know but:
directly after trying to save
Code:
dmesg
and
Code:
cat /var/log/syslog
I could also think of some mmc/fs corruption, hereby write access to storage area (which/where idk, sorry) is not granted.
Any other weird thimgs happening? Memory (/home) full? Or similar ...

Well, a hard way is what my experience with linux has been from the beginning.

I've got issues with document viewer too, it opens only xls files. According to this thread, it probably due to some other application.

Alarm clock and documents are very important tools for me, and from all the other apps they had to stop working. :/
