Would it be possible to move /usr/share/terminfo/x/xterm-256color in the ncurses-term package to /etc/terminfo/x/xterm-256color in the ncurses-base package?

Would this kind of change need to be done in CSSU?

clock-ui (0.7-0+0cssu4) is in the repo, see https://github.com/community-ssu/clo...commits/master commits since 30 Apr 2015 for a full changelog, but in short this is a major rewrite and cleanup and (hopefully) speedup.

Please test it and report.

Kudos for for still addressing this after all this time. Too bad it happend in a stage I no longer actively use my N900.

And sorry for the headaches the refactoring caused (also on behalf of CepiPerez I guess)

Why, did it stop working?

I know it is not you to blame for the mess

As daily phone, yes . I started experiencing more and more random shutdowns, making me miss calls.

Yes, I do not see problem to include patched version into cssu.

Currently I do not have time for doing it. If you can prepare git repository and change needed for moving that file, I can push package into cssu-devel repo + on github.

Just to confirm, changes to ncurses need to go in CSSU, they can't go in Extras, is that correct?

I can do that.

Are there any guidelines for preparing packages for CSSU? Do you have debhelper 5 and/or debhelper 7?
Are you OK with source format 3.0 (quilt)?

The current version is ncurses 5.7+20081213-1.maemo1+0m5, what would you suggest for a CSSU version number?
I'm thinking of also merging Debian version 5.7+20101128-1 (the last of the 5.7 series). What would you suggest for a CSSU version number?

ncurses packages are in Nokia SSU, so yes, update needs to go via CSSU.

Great! New people are welcome to CSSU team :-)

Something is on https://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU and https://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/Development

But general rule is to use what is in original Nokia SSU/Maemo SDK package on repository.maemo.org.

debhelper 5. Maemo SDK does not have support for new debhelper version. CSSU packages should be able to build with just Maemo Fremantle SDK + CSSU packages (but not recursive). Without Maemo Extras!

No :-( Again limitation of scratchbox and Maemo Fremantle SDK.

The easier and best solution is to look at version strings in other CSSU packages. There is some guide on https://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU...Version_Scheme

Maybe 5.7+20101128-1+0cssu0? (just add +0cssu<revnum>).

I imported current DSC package from Maemo SDK into github CSSU, so you can use prepared git repo:
https://github.com/community-ssu/ncurses

Thanks for all your answers!

I had already prepared a git repo with a bit more of the history (and now committed the patch with a version number) here:
https://github.com/ginggs/maemo-ncurses

I still need to do some testing and look at merging 5.7+20101128.
