Sooooo...
um...
for starters just a pic indeed is worth a 1000 words...
soooo...
Tell me... is what is wrong with western culture.... disabled and severely physically challenged people having the same rights as any other person ...what is wrong?
The battles and odds they must face?
Frankly...fame-wise ...and comparing the 2 ...one is near (some feel way past) genius and the other's fame a product of the evolving nature of a communication medium..in particular content...
I don't think they are exactly on the same page...
past the fact that both would not be looked upon in any kinder a light in any other culture. Odds are both would have died quite young...nor would their voices have been heeded and listened to any more in any other culture...most likely less...
If what is wrong with western culture pertaining to these two gentlemen is concerning their recent statements that both would seek method's of "Self Determination" the ability, desire and right to end their lives on their own terms...Well...yes ...western culture on the whole has a ways to go on the topic...but it is being discussed....the fact they are both alive and both are speaking about it..tells me A- western culture is mature enough to allow the conversation ...whereas many other cultures see "self determination" in a very religious or pariah-esque light to say the least... B- they have enjoyed the ability to live long enough to speak about possibly wanting to end their lives...due in great part TO western medicine and western compassion and western ethics.
I could go on...

Now don't get me wrong here...I am personally of the camp where everyone should have the right to determine their own fate...just within the last 6 years I lost 3 people close to me to cancer ...they all new and thought they could persevere and pass on naturally..unfortunately all 3 were doing abrupt about-faces and wishing they had chosen otherwise...I am a firm adherent of "the right to die" camp...even still..there is a natural built-in deeply ingrained human negative response to it...past all culture... Also there is the economic issues , politic issues and moral issues at stake ...here in Canada we have been struggling with this quicksand-topic for a long time...for example...sure it is important that people are treated fairly, humanely and compassionately ...when they get sick or hurt or old ...with such rights to die...many could and more specifically would take advantage of that..for economic reasons masquerading as compassion.....it could go from compassion to euthanasia very quickly and the value of human life with it....oh my yes...it is an absolute quagmire...

Likewise ...I am no huge lover of western culture.....and when I mean western culture I refer in specific to whomsoever is holding the reigns of influence...and frankly I cannot call western culture "American" or any other nationality...it is much too big and effusive for that now.. ..and of course that is negating the presence of regional cultures inside of western civilization...which frankly have more on the ball...Looking at other cultures also...well they have their good aspects and bad in them as well...
soooo....
your picture equating to 1000 words...
I've tried to keep my response under 1000 words ( )
So a point of reference pertaining to the culture you are making a statement about ... something more to go on ...other "than" just a picture would bring some clarity to your viewpoint.
please elucidate ....
What exactly is wrong with western culture?

I'll try to fit in <1000 words, lets see...

Aside from small differences (one was disabled from birth, the other had a chance to attend top college), being born in different income families (the mentality of sacred life even with defects, brought Fredrick (hotwheels) to writing this piece on eugenics and why he shouldn't be born, trigger warning, stormfrontesque site as no other would have the balls to publish his thoughts on the matter, too problematic, might trigger someone, hopefully not too distasteful for this forum: http://www.dailystormer.com/hotwheel...port-eugenics/ ), they both share a genius mind.
Not going to write much about Hawking, we all know him. Lets concentrate on Fredrick. On a mushroom trip he had an idea of creating endless chan (image board), where anyone can start a board and become its moderator like on reddit with subreddits - so infinitechan (8chan) was born. He is idealist that believes in freedom of speech, so as long as the content is legal you can post anything there.
Gamergate happened and people after being banned on reddit/4chan(yes, beastiality, racism and gore is fine, gamergate is too much for 4chan) and practically every other moderated forum ended up on 8chan. So far so good. Fredrick was collecting donations through Paypal. What do crusaders for social justice do to the cripple that cares about freedom of speech? Well, they go after him. Send emails with false accusations (like I said, illegal content is removed from 8chan, so child porn accusations are just that, false accusations). His paypal got blocked. Then patreon, then gratipay, then flattr. They practically killed all his possible financing solutions, as he would not bend to them and ban gamergate from his board. He gave the domain to 2ch owner who managed to put some japanese ads on it, but it is still very likely to be closed soon. Hey, everything goes when fighting for social justice, right? Killing income of disabled free speech activist is A-OK in their game, those poor underprivileged fighters for justice.
You've seen the rosetta shirt guy cry apologizing for bad-toughts shirt (gift from a female friend). Recently we had Tim Hunt being hunted (https://archive.is/rbIRA and don't let the guardian fool you, they feature at the same time article: Why sack ageing sexists? Send them to rehab instead). Keep repeating the debunked 75 cents on the dollar claims. Hell, the worst offender and thing worth fighting on twitter against is violence in DOOM
There is something really wrong, and yeah, living in constant pain is probably better than not living at all (I disagree with his views on eugenics, but glad I could read them to form an opinion for myself), but on the best freedom country making lives of people like hotwheels extra hell you can read here (https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/commen...jip8?context=3 that AMA was also falsely reported by SJWs and taken down for a while btw)
No idea how many words that was, rant off

Hmmm...
yeah well...he may wish and present a great case for desiring not to be born in the 1st place.
But if that concept were law...and socially accepted...
there would be a lot more infanticide...alot more "helping" people to leave this world who either have no voice to speak, or unable to speak, who have no desire to die just yet.
If his desire is that strong...he can accomplish it.
It is an easy thing to say "___ wants to die" ...
easy until you are dealing with the actual fact of it.
I've dealt with enough people dying around me...
and I'm a staunch advocate of the right of the individual...
but the moment it becomes law...real law...
the ugly ugly twisting... of the rights of the individual to "self determination" ...taken by the justification by others will commence.

Illegally we have already seen such eugenic practices... in the news over the decades .. by doctors or nurses who went too far and thought they were doing a "kindness" by unlawfully killing patients...without even the patients knowledge or consent...
What will happen when the practice of doing away with people becomes entrenched in law?
You can bet it will get abused...you can lay money on it.
It's a sure bet that the value of human life then becomes less than that of the common slug.
It would make for a wretched world... truly.
That is the danger inherent.
Allowing the "Powers that be" to start dictating the value of life ...who deserves it...who doesn't...
That is the ultimate path of what proponents who fight for the "legal right to die" ...straight to the cliff-edge for us all.
I believe in the right to "self determination" or the "right to die" ...I simply think it should not become "legislated law" ...too dangerous a precedent with a very grim future certain.

His views on eugenics were mostly to show how hard it is currently to write/publish non-PC thought these days (he is the best argument against it in my opinion, as he is a great man, which we would not have, but again I digress), main argument is about the cripple standing for old internet values, when others go mod-happy censoring all unpopular opinions (and targetting cripples, as long as they don't bow to the 'only true thought', feel free to start eugenics vs assisted suicide thread)

What's wrong with Western Culture/Thinking?
We believe in continual progress.

So basically when we were evolving/created we chose to sleep in caves on soft plant/leather as opposed to the harsh trees. We created clubs. Then sharpened them into spears. We formed tribes. Then villages. We created language. And education. And hygiene. And food-source. And water source. And waste disposal. Then cities emerged. Despite all this technological advancement compared to other primates and mammals... it wasn't enough.

We conquered all the lands. Then all the seas. Then conquered over each other. The competition made us more technologically and progressively thirsty. We innovated quicker and quicker and quicker. Then quicker. Then better. Then even more progress.

Now pre-teens can do the work that professional adults did half-a-century ago, who could do work that a hundred men would do a century ago, who did work that only a thousand slaves could do another century ago.

Those nature advocates are half-mad. Nature is the biggest killer, its cruel, and remorseless. That banana you eat isn't natural at all, its man-made with a unique genetic composition. Might as well eat a choc-bar full-o-energy and vitamins.

Eastern Thinking does not believe in progress. They believe in cycles. There's a good period and a shıt period. We are cared by parents, later we care as parents. We come from the dust, and return to the dust. The dust came from the stars, and it will return to the stars.
