I'm pleased to announce the availability of NumptyPhysics 0.2. It's
been available for 5 minutes already and still only one person has
downloaded it.

get it here: http://numptyphysics.garage.maemo.org/
and should also be available from extras shortly.

Thanks to all those who have contributed new levels and bug reports -
keep them coming!

New in v0.2:
- improved level editor
- some new levels
- bug fixes
- hildon/mimetype support
- web catalog http://numptyphysics.garage.maemo.org/levels
- level submission via email

Bugs in v0.2:
- that cursed menu icon is still the wrong size
- that cursed app switcher does not show the title
- game is not topped when level is mime_open'ed (from file or web)
- probably some other stuff.

Anyone with a fix for the above bugs will be given the key to the
secret level.

Thanks Tim,

Are you initializing your app properly? Look here:
http://maemo.org/api_refs/4.0/libosso/group__Init.html

Probably that's wrong with the app name.

Great game, even tried myself making something like crayon physics for the tablet, but never quite got anywhere with that, been hoping someone else would do it.

You can get proper sized icons, if you put the icons into /usr/share/icons/hicolor/40x40/hildon and /usr/share/icons/hicolor/26x26/hildon and running 'gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor' in your package's postinst.

I do init this ok. I think it's got something to do with the
SDL-fullscreen. I can do "xwininfo -root -all" and I see a window with
the correct title listed but theres also one with the "<unknown>" title.
I think this may be related to the topping problem.

BTW, can you check the 770 options in the Makefile work ok?

Okay, did you remove the libc dependency?

no, as it also has dependencies on libgcc1, libglib2, libstdc++6 etc.
if you have os2006/7 SDK maybe you can build a 770 deb there?

770 package without dependencies:

http://bundyo.org/maemo/numptyphysics_0.2_770.deb

Installs fine (and works) in 2007HE and 2008HE, didn't try in 2006. Removed all version dependencies (it still depends on the libs).
