yes, but you'd need a powered hub

Or a dumb power injector with no hub, and a custom-whacked kernel...

Just Released:

"Later this month, Nokia will sell the new pocket size Nokia N810 Internet tablet WiMAX edition, with widescreen display and QWERTY keyboard, at select independent retailers in Baltimore as well as online at www.nokiausa.com."

This is exciting news, especially for me. I am not going to buy any internet tablet unless it has broadband capabilities, and wimax seems like the way to go! Good thing I live in DC too :-p

To read the entire press release from today go to: http://www.xohm.com/en_US/about/news...ws-100808.html

Enjoy!

Hey tex,

I live in fort worth. Do you think it is up and running in fort worth. I am thinking of going 3g via n95 or replacing my n810 with n810wme.

Please answer if possible.

what about something like this
http://www.huawei.com/mobileweb/en/p...view.do?id=282
apparently its self powered, just need drivers or would you still need to compile a different kernel?

i guess will wait around for a self-powered one. thanks again.

It doesn't appear to be self-powered; under External Interface it lists
only
  • Mini USB interface: supporting USB 2.0 Full Speed
  • Antenna: Internal antenna
  • SIM/USIM card: standard 6 PIN SIM card interface
As USB is the only one of those capable of providing power, and there's no mention of batteries, I'd say this is definitely bus-powered, like almost all such devices.

You'd need either a custom kernel and power injector, or a self-powered hub.

Consider this: I was working from home the day I reported the good visibility.

I don't live in Dallas.
