Does anybody have this same problem. The Wireless network monitor says that it is connected but Internet Explorer cannot display webpage. This is really a pain in the ***. Mobile Hotspot starts without a problem. My laptop says its acquiring address. It's them connected. I open IE and it says the webpage cannot be displayed. I've closed and opened IE a couple of times. I've tried going to different websites and still the same.

Does the Internet work in other applications? If yes try some other browser.

One: Don't use internet explorer
Two: Try again, turn OFF WEP/WPA and make sure you're in a good 3G reception area.
I had issues, then it just worked.
I was using Linux and firefox though...

I had the same issue no matter what browser or windows version I tried. But I found out that it must be something windows firewall related.

To get internet working via mobile hotspot I needed to enable Windows Firewall and ticking every browser and the routing stuff in the exceptions tab.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,
