I exported it with all possible endings (.crt, .cer, .p7b) and saved them on my N900. When trying to install them there is no "install" button on my n900 as it was before!
When clicking on the certificate just the details have been shown but no possibility to install it!
Most probably it means that no "CA" field is set in the certificate.

Did you see hypnotiks comment, sounds like some voodoo in the way you install cert

Edit: Ok, I don't know what happened, but I actually saved the .pem file to the device first this time before opening the certificate manager (instead of opening the certificate manager directly from the browser) and it seems to have imported it and it works to connect to Exchange. Apparently if you open the cert manager from the browser (by navigating to a .pem file) it doesn't import it correct (even though the cert is listed in certificate manager). So now things are cool.

Thanks!

I guess the better question is will there be support for multiple accounts in the future then?

"CA" refers to "Certificate Authority".

if this field is not set it means your certificate is not a "public" one, it's not authorized against any of the global providers.

[QUOTE]

Yep i tried it according to hypnotiks comments and various other methods i could come up with, unfortunately no luck.

as i mentioned when i look in Webmail, in options > Mobile device,

i can see the N900 trying to connect, although all it says is

status : Ok
First sync on: 02/12/09 12:43
Device Id: the N900 Imei number.

however for the Nokia E90 there is additional information
Last successful sync:
User Agent: NokiaE90/2.07 Mail fo exchange.

so the attempt to sync from the N900 did reach the server, however its not able to fully sync.
