The Verizon iPhone thingy be real http://www.engadget.com/apple/verizon-iphone
I would have cared about this in 2008 or early 2009, but I think it is a little to late for Apple. The only real changes are CDMA, no voice and data at the same time over cellular connection, wifi hotspot mode (for up to 5 devices), a few subtle visual changes, and of course Verizon. What are your thoughts?

I said "I would have cared", but there are many people who will be happy to here about this and it is still something interesting to talk about.

Naw. Nobody around here cares about the iPhone on Verizon. They're too busy talking about a whole bunch of "it might be in the next version" of MeeGo.

Okay, that was harsh. But I'm actually happy that it finally came out. Now the rumors about that can die.

I'm happy that people will stop making predictions of when will it come out only to find out that it isn't coming out and then make even more predictions in an annoying endless cycle of false predictions. Edit: Unfortunately people will be talking about a 4g iPhone or some crap like that.

"no voice and data at the same time over cellular connection"

does that mean if your phone is sending data it wont recognise incoming calls or it will simply terminate anything you may have been downloading etc?

I think it will be terminating anything you download unless over wifi (a limit of Verizon's implementation of CDMA). So you can't make a call while you say download something when your on a cellular connection.
