uname -r tells me I'm running 51, Application Manager has Extras Devel enabled, refreshed but still tells me no updates available.

How do I go from 51 to 51r1?

Running 2.6.28.10-power52 now

I do have a "side" question:
Using u-boot, I only installed the bootimage and modules. It all went okay and I could boot into power52.
But dependency problems will arise afterward (usb hostmode depending on flasher >= power51 etc.) if you don't install power-flasher and power-kernel. After installing both, the dependency problems where gone.

The question itself is: why would I need power-flasher and power-kernel (in NAND), and why do parts like usb hostmode depend on it (and not also optionally on the corresponding bootimage for example)?

We have decided that -bootimg packages will not provide any features. If you try to install package which depends on some feature then apt-get and HAM will install -bootimg package as default instead -flasher...

I'm preparing patch for maemo which ask user before flashing new kernel if he really want do it. So then installing -flasher package will not flash kernel without user accept.

Patch will be intellingent, it will ask only if you will change kernel (eg. nokia to kernel-power, or kernel to u-boot). When you will do updating, it should not ask...

For reading battery temperature (in tenths of Celsius), battery design capacity and voltage via new rx51_battery driver use:
$ cat /sys/class/power_supply/rx51-battery/uevent

This is new kernel driver (I wrote it yesterday) which read RAW values and convert it by RE conversation formula...

Quick 'n dirty way to install debs when you know what the dependencies are and have the actual package is (as root):
Code:
