To get wifi you can add the Kernel modules folder from Maemo!

You can't get wifi (at this point). But wifi and Bluetooth can generally be fixed by adding the kernel modules folder from Maemo..

ok.
I used a little different procedure:

1- because when i dd or 'zcat' the kubuntu-mobile.raw image to the first ext3 partition of my mircosd, the partition was corrupted. so i first dd it to another micro sd with no partition on it- and finde that the raw image contain two partition: the fat and ext3.
then i copy the ext3 entries to the 7gig etx3 partition of first micro sd.

2- instead of installing uboot, I flash the kernel just like meego instalation.

I try to upload my video tomorrow

I would appreciate to see where you got. I tried that and couldn't boot. Thanks!

I found the video (this is not my device- I think it is kubuntu-mobile 10.10 or 11.04):
It looks so good:

Are you using the omap3 drivers? Also, either use the ones from Maemo's /lib/modules/2.6.* folder or scrounge around MeeGo.

Plasma Mobile looks hawt, wonder how much better it got since 2010.

Next stop: Running GNOME 3 on the N900 (why not? it does NOT look like it was built for desktops, the task switcher and app menu can be accessed by tapping top-left *ahem*likeMaemo5*ahem* and it's got multiple desktops.)

I used meego driver (as described in wiki) but no wlan or bluetooth.
