I note the new Nokia Qt SDK Beta download page at http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...ia_Qt_SDK.html mentions:

"The Nokia N900 mobile computer will support applications created with this beta in the forthcoming version 10.2010.09-3 firmware update."

Is this the same as the PR1.2 update that is being discussed here? Or is this a separate update? Apologies if this is covered elsewhere.

It looks like it, yes

Yet another reason to wait for PR1.2...

I think is't developer firmware. Name 2010.09-3 say this is build from 9-th week. It's too old build for firmware 1.2

Yes, you need to wait for PR 1.2 to be able to deploy apps to the n900. You can play with the Simulator until then though.

PR1.2 only have fixes up until week 9ish as far as I'm aware.
Yes it is too old.

Don't get your hope too high for PR1.2

i installed the nokia QT sdk and the maemo5 readme says:

A N900 device with updates installed. Note that PR1.2 is the minimum firmware supported.
