Well, it looks like the other parties in Tizen already have quite a hard time working together with Samsung:

If at all something like that is gonna happen, I would love if Samsung stay away from designing the phone. I seriously don't want to see a curvy gay phone running Tizen/MeeGo

Nothing strange here. Always the same in all projects. Someone has to make the discission. We dont know tizen is managed. Same with jolla, What have they done with mer? We might not approve.

Mer is meritocratic and technically driven, code is king with open governance

If you disagree, you're free to make your own build.

Seems to be heading exactly the same route as the mangled decision making that Symbian Foundation and MeeGo where.

I so wish Nokia had not gone for the similar kind of trees and butterfly open management projects with those two. Should have learned with Symbian Foundation already.

I think they should use a current product and expand on it, something like the Ainol Novo7 Elf2 would make the prime kickstarter:
~ $99
- Decent quality 1024x600 LCD
- 1.4GHz Dual-Cortex A9 (40nm)
- Mali-400 (dualcore gpu)
- 1GB DDR3 RAM
- 16GB NAND, microSD, microHDMI, microUSB-HOST
- Wifi bgn, BT, 2MP camera, gyro, speaker, mic, headset
- 3,700mAh (with dedicated charge port)
Or wait, till the Nexus 7 fullfills the above requirements (microSD, microHDMI,microUSB-HOST, perhaps 32GB) and then rip off Android and put on something like Maemo 6 or
MeeGo.

It was an example. Might Not be the best one.

Still someone must be behind the code and make decisions unless the code generates its own code

When Android growth for Samsung starts to slow, they'll look into some alternatives or jump on whichever bandwagon is the hottest...

After all, Samsung is a OEM instead of a software Company...
One does not just snap his fingers and come up with an alternative lol. The alternative must be ready or else you will end up like micronokia

Samsug is making a faktone of money now and they can afford to invest it wherever they want. So tizen can be there when androind is not an option any more.
