Got my Pi a couple of days ago - whaoo!
I was wondering what the chances were of using an old N900 screen as a display for the Pi? Would it be even feasable driving it from the Pi's HDMI port?
And then, would it be possible to use the touchscreen as well?
I've got a soldering iron... But pretty bad electronics knowledge!

My Pi's are waiting for me too (I got 2 of them, after all, lol - one from Farnel, and another one from this 2nd partner-company, forgot name).
As for N900 screen, no chances - such screen require own (proprietary, closed) "driver" hardware on board. Same apply for all notebooks (some were reverse-engineered, but it's rather about old, big models).

I know it may be too far for some to travel but for any midlanders on the boards, it would be awesome to see some TMO users there. Maybe if we could get the HDMI out working we could show it off too?
As for my attempts at HDMI, I will update the other thread. So far i have not had much success
