Did you have any backups?

I'm afraid that if the db file is missing then the messages are really gone unless you could have recovered it with an undelete application. (I have not ever tried that but it might be possible if the db has been erased, dont know about now when you have managed to recreate it)

Connect your phone to Nokia Suite and try syncing the messages into Nokia Suite

When I open Nokia suite it says it has expired and will just automatically close the program. . . Is there any other way to restore my messages? My phone has gotten to the point where it won't even save my call logs or messages for longer than a few hours. . . . .This phone is awesome yet at the same time making me sick with disgust. . . .

Hmm look through tracker logs to see why your messages and call logs disappear every few hours, its very strange for them to keep disappearing.

Logs located at /home/user/.local/share/tracker/

Once you have all your data its better for once you reset tracker (tracker-control -r) and let it begin again.

tracker-extract.log is 75.87kb

tracker-miner-fs.log is 59.29kb

tracker-store.log is 12.20 kb

tracker-writeback.log is 0b

the data folder is 4kb

Does one of those have my messages which I can extract from?

Nope your messages are in a database located at /home/user/.cache/tracker/meta.db most probably... The logs are to see what's happening to tracker actually...

I don't see anything in /home/user/.cache/tracker/
Should I be worried?
