Yes, the front camera can not use the high-resolution settings
from the back camera. It would be a good idea to lock the
resolution setting :-)

This behavior is the same with the stock camera-ui when
shooting photos with non-auto-iso and over-exposure.
It might be a bug in the cameradriver or the "auto-exposure"-daemon(?)
libomap3camd
Bug 10384 - (int-150612) photo camera exposure correction defective for manual ISO setting
Bug 11715 - Consider open-sourcing libomap3cam and/or omap3camd

I need additional images for iso800 and iso1600, and it would be
good to have different icons for auto-whitebalance and auto-isolevel,
at the moment both are using a simple "A" icon.

There are some contributions from other users, already, but I hadn't time
to include these in the camera-ui2.

It is looking good. Maybe we can change it a bit, so it is looking
as ugly as the stock icons. (only white and transparent).

NICOLAI, first of all, thanks for a great work...

second: i think that you need to put in addition to general settings in dropdown menu, a "list of keyboard shortcuts" - it would be useful

third: for the part of icons - i suggest that you use a some nokia UI scheme for that.... for example you can use some from symbian phone N8 ( http://nokia.getblogs.info/2010/11/1...ra-experience/ or http://europe.nokia.com/support/prod...os/take-photos )
it is same or very similar like on n900

Yes, a about dialog with keyboard shortcuts is planned.

Thanks Nicolai. I hope its not too far down. What is more important though is the time stamp. I have software that can match RAW files to GPS logs if the time stamp is correct.

BTW, I don't know if this is a bug but I noticed that when I used -0.5 exposure there is little change to no change as compared to 0 ev adjustment but when I do a -1 exposure there is a big change. Is this adjustable?

Thanks again for all of the good work. I look forward to the next rev.

I'm using extended locked media control. that script that lets you control the media player with the camera and zoom buttons. Every time I use the camera button to pause (full click), when I unlock the phone I find that the camera started and it shows the pic that tells you to open the cover. That didn't happen with the default camera. the worst part is that the ui doesn't go away unless I go to the task manager (ctrl + backspace) or I use end current task from the power button. Also sometime I find 2 or more camera windows lunched.

it would be great if you add the fooloowing function:
when i record a video and rotate the n900 in potrait mode the video does not rotate...as in playback i have to rotate myself to watch the video correctly?
