I would like to set up my N900 so that the entire user folder is encrypted. On (K)Ubuntu it is very easy to have the entire user folder encrypted.
Has anybody tried that?
What I'm intending to accomplish:
The idea is that if your are robed you can switch off the device (and the thief will not be able to access your data later). If you just forget it somewhere, when the battery drains you are safe because there is no available data for another person to see.
In order to do this it would be necessary to replace the kernel (say, with Titan's), make sure the correct modules are installed, perform repartitioning and figure out where/how to ask for the password during boot.
Any thought?
Luis
