And now, possible after trying to update the repos, the button is gone altogether ("Operator Name Widget" is still there though).
Did I misbehave somehow (I was really nice and cuddling, I promise) ?
I also have the data roaming going crazy by kicking in whenever my "internet connection" is used, but that's probably unrelated and I'm gonna open a new thread about it.

You could have installed buggy software from one of the many testing or development repositories.
The diagnoses with turn off topic for this thread.
I would start by listing your catalogues and which applications you installed.
Please also note the disclaimer at the top of the "Perfect N900" wiki page.

I reflashed my phone as I bricked it somehow and installed CSSU-Thumb. 
I was wondering if I should enable all the repos in the app catalog after installing CSSU-Thumb or leave it as it is.
