IBM is a very long way from dead. Just because they're not so much in the consumer space, doesn't mean they're not at the forefront of what they do. I still see IBM adverts on the tv here (UK) even!

They're getting a bigger cut of a far more lucrative pie. It's been speculated that Microsoft has been wanting to do the same - so if Nokia can manage it in any meaningful way, it'll indicate a monumental success. And it would put them better placed to return if they wanted - a phone division that doesn't drag them down into the red, but one that complements the other things that they do.

As much as people here love Nokia, they've not been in a great place recently. We all know that. They need to look out for number one - if that means we never get another phone from them, so be it. I'd rather have a perennially lurking Nokia than no Nokia at all. Jolla has continued where Jolla left off, if you want your spiritual successor, there it is.

Well, sorry I really cannot tell you what exactly it is
As Nokia indeed makes a largeish range of products, from handheld size up to racks weighing several hundred kilos. I'll just say the thing falls there somewhere in the middle of that range
And the OS is a linux variant, yes.

So...you're saying...
all you can contractually say is....

"oh...just as a sidenote everybody...workin' on something new...and it's bigger'n a bread basket...but smaller'n elephant...and that's all I can say..."

why...you teasin' bastard!

Well...the very moment when you can contractually tell us...
Don't you dare hold out on us...
curiosity is killin' a whole lotta cats here
