I think Chrome was just abandoned for the N900, unfortunately. There was some knd of legal issue, but I think that the real cause was inertia.

Googled hard, no resolution. Even though repo build will be probably taken down again, someone could compile it and provide deb/bin link outside of maemo.org. The case has either been settled with ndaa, or it was just a game from google to stop competition using their OSS browser
