Perhaps the strategy is to change the perceptions of the larger part of the population that can't recall Nokia making anything other than mobile phones.

...btw, I suspect that incorrect perceptions may exist even among lifelong Nokia cell phone customers.

I suppose ^that and other potential markets is what would motivate them to want to change potential customers perceptions. Also important I would think would be the transition/transfer, or retention of existing customers knowledge of Nokia cell phone quality and service as they become aware of new Nokia devices when shopping for a
portable, wwan connected
thingy.

...but then again, what do we know? All Nokia may want is for us to consume more burbot roe and blini.
