Transmission can run as daemon only (than client is needed) and it's well has Qt GUI =)
Btw GTK can run N9 as well =)

so all we need to port it

Wait, the bounty is for Transmission on the N9. Or will a daemon with access via the browser work?

Because I use uTorrent just fine, and I suspect transmission-daemon with the browser for dropping magnet links would work just fine.

Please clarify.

bounty is for a working torrent client for N9, with all basic functionality and touch-friendly GUI.

Let the OP answer.

Will a interfacing with the server via browser be acceptable? If so, rTorrent or Transmission-daemon would suffice. I'm sure, I, or somebody else, can have that up and running fairly quickly. Bounty or not.

I have also included myself to help pay the bounty. I was happy with transmission on my old N900. Getting that to work on the N9or the other suggestion of Qtrapids would suffice. Hope this helps

I've managed to implement enough of the QML UI for QtRapids to make the most basic functionality usable:

Still a fair amount to do before it's really complete though.

Not yet, I have one last issue with getting the server component to shut down along with the GUI that I want to fix before I put anything out for others to play with, otherwise it could be downloading/uploading stuff in the background without them realising.

Yeah the n900 version had that issue too.. I used to work around it by telling the server to stop from the options menu and then closing the app.
