It's not for beginners, as has been mentioned in the many many threads on the same subject.

DE = Developers Edition.

I will try and add an easy to use tutorial for installation.
I am in the process now. My N900 hates my ISP (TPG). For some reason it will never work with HAM/FAM.

OK. Done.
Got a Mac or Linux box?
You can install Meego in 2 main steps.

apt-get install uboot-pr13

Download the meego image.
Extract it once to get the meego*.raw
Use mac or linux (windows too, I guess) and dd it to SD..

Reboot phone ad meego should boot...
I will make a Tutorial tomorrow in here (Alternatives Forum).

I've written a tutorial to install MeeGo 1.2 on N900. It is easier than official guide. You don't need to use command prompt. If you are interested then visit this link

This is a simple two step guide:

Download Meego and use dd to extract to a raw or fat32 formatted sd.

On N900: apt-get install uboot-pr13

Reboot.. Type "run mmcboot"

Hi all and thanks to Pillum, plaban and kingoddball for their guides.
What can I do to install meego to eMmc, if I already have NitDroid installed?
