HI guys, I have been poking around in the old Diablo repos and came across this little games pack full of the old classics called Touchmegames (AKA MTouchGames).

Now there seems to have been very little fanfare for this package on the boards and after having a good search and could not find a dedicated topic for further details. So I thought I would try the .deb out on the n900 and found it works great

Games List

Card Games
  • Video Poker
  • Threes Company
  • TriTower
Word Games
  • Secret phrase
  • Word hunt
Strategy
  • GorillaThrilla
  • Flog the Dolphin
  • Complie4
  • Consume21
  • Sudoku
  • Nonogram
  • Fortress Cracker
Miscellaneous
  • Foxy boxy
  • Drop Zone
  • Memory
  • Foto Seek
Some screenies

Strategy selection screen

Foxyboxy

Gorillathrilla

The program itself appears to have ceased any development as it was first created in 2006 and the last garage activity for this was January 2010. From what I can gather there was an issue with promoting the package and it appears to have been left and forgotten (not sure if this still correct?)

TouchMeGames homepage http://touchmegames.sourceforge.net/index.html

Maemo.org link to .deb http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...chmegames/0.2/

As you would expect from a game so old, you won't see any amazing graphics although they are still quite nice, and a few buttons could be resized to compensate for the N900 screen (I guess the n800 larger screen would be fine?).

IMO, it's a nice little package of games in a deb file no smaller than 7mb.

It is trivial to rebuild it for N900.

Packaging and optifiyng needs some brain activity. Is there somewhere source package for diablo version? Then optifiyng will be only thing to do before pushing it to the extras-devel. (And then we can start discussing about size of buttons.)

The tar.gz can be found here http://sourceforge.net/projects/touc...ar.gz/download

I have opened up the deb and its containing tar in 7zip and have been looking through the image files already Images I can do, getting any of the maemo SDKs running on my PC has never been a successful endeavor

The source of latest released version can be found from here:http://maemo.org/packages/source/vie...chmegames/0.2/
The sources on Sourceforge might be newer though:http://touchmegames.cvs.sourceforge..../touchmegames/

Version from Diablo (0.2.0) pushed to the Fremantle's extras-devel.
Build log: https://garage.maemo.org/builder/fre...ild.log.OK.txt
(not yet in repository)

There are some stupid magic for optifying, but there are newer upstream version (0.2.5), which have slightly different data structure, so I'm planning to fix building straight for that version.

Version-0.2.5 doesn't support resolution 800x480 (needs work to add it) and seems it doesn't contain more games than 0.2.
