In what is surely the twilight of the N900's life span. Would it be a good time to redefine the extras catalogues?

Half the catalogues that came loaded with the OS no longer work, and surely all the applications that have been listed under "testing" for a few years should now just be in one repository?

Having two refreshed repositories would work well in my opinion.

I did not mind having an unorganized way of getting applications when i first got the phone but surely there must be a better way now?

Is it possible to survive by disabling some repositories? I have terrible speed with the nokia repo's and it just slows everything down when trying to use app manager. Are the nokia repos sourced for dependancies by packages in extras at all?

I agree, the more repositories that are loaded, the worse the performance of the device.

There has to be a way of making it more streamlined now.
