In all fairness, mr Jaaksi is hardly "any ex-Nokian", I think it's safe to say that without him Maemo would have been a completely different animal to what we know and love(/hate) or might not even have existed. Personally I can't wait to see what HP's Palm division comes up with under his steering.

I am interested in knowing what kind of work any ex-Nokian finds.

I have been in a company that went under and one of the fascinating aspects is seeing what trap doors swallow employees up and what rabbit holes they pop back up from.

Living in Espoo and talked with few people who have left Nokia recently. Most seem to find work quickly. Situation seems to be even worse at Nokia Siemens Networks. Just talked with one ex-NSN who left last week after NSN announced that it won't host Christmas parties anymore. "Cancelling christmas was the last straw."

Nokia is switching to Windows Phone 7, and HP is dropping WebOS in favor of MeeGo!!1!eleventy!!
