Run "cp /opt/fapman-cache/sources.list /home/user/MyDocs/sources.list" in x-terminal (if you get a permission denied error try running the command as root). Then you can open the file in your favorite text editor from you MyDocs folder.

~ $ cp /opt/fapman-cache/sources.list /home/user/MyDocs/sources.list
~ $ root

BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

Nokia-N900:~# cp /opt/fapman-cache/sources.list /home/user/MyDocs/sources.list
Nokia-N900:~#

the easiest for you, as a GNU/Linux inexperienced user is to connect your N900 to a (windoooooz) PC, copy sources.list over to your PC and open it there with notepad (you will have to right click the file on your PC & select open with and select notepad.exe) as the .list extension most likely isn't known to windooooz)

simply copy the contend of the file & paste it in a post here

Well, congratulations. Now you could perhaps post what the problem was and how you solved it?!

After all that's the whole point of a user forum.
