okay, let them make

high end: WP
mid end: meego
low end: symbian

and I'll be more than delighted to save lots of money to buy Nokia's low/mid-end phones than to have to spend more cash on those "high-end" rubbish

Yeah, at least Microsoft makes the trains run on time. Who cares where the trains are going?

I think the Iphone is a phone not suited for me, but does that make it a bad phone? (appearantly not because there are many users)

And I am making the obvious point (that you will learn in time) that:

The only question remaining is... How do you say "Developers, developers, developers!" in Finnish?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMU0tzLwhbE

People here suggest Nokia has good software ideas but not-so-good execution... Microsoft has programming expertise but seems to be lacking good design qualities lately... this announcement says Nokia will help shape WP7... sounds like a great combination to me! They make up for each other's deficiencies, and MeeGo stays what Maemo & the N900 were... a technical experiment. As I've said before, industry experts are saying that in approximately 4 years mobile processors will have the same processing power as today's low-mid range desktops. That's when running desktop software on your phone is going to be important and true convergence can really begin and that's when MeeGo and Nokia's past experience of the N900 can be called upon and really shine. Until that time we have widgets and Angry Birds.
