alephito,

theres a couple of reasons,
firstly, when drawing on the screen (which I do a lot of in liqbase) i like my wrist to rest at the same level as the screen - its totally flat and like writing in a book instead of being at the wrong angle.
secondly, when im lay in bed at night reading it rests nicely on my chest at the right height for reading (portrait mode) and i can just gently hold it up instead of getting arm ache and catching the screen (fbreader is an arse for screen touching moving the pages).

the high tech elastic band stops it falling on my head at night

I really don't know. O_o I saw it at a local shop on a sale rack outside for a couple bucks and when I held my N800 up to it, it looked like a perfect fit, so I bought it. It didn't come in a box and the only sticker on it was a price tag. No room for *anything* except an N800 in that case and it's really soft. It's not going to do anything but keep the screen from getting scratched or *maybe* help a little bit in the case of a short fall.

Today's post in which I suck up to all of you. I love threads like these.

No need for me to publish my favorite IT photo yet again, of course.

*edit* GottaBeMobile likes this thread too

Who'll be faster ?
The N810 with its internal GPS or an old-style map ?

London, behind St. Mary le Strand

That's not a WiMax antenna, it's the CN Tower in Toronto Ontario Canada. (I had them move the snow for this pic.)

I said it already: the COMMUNITY is what makes this device as cool as it is. The base tech is cool, but really... look at these pictures.
