To test the camera, you could use the "camera" app available by intalling the camera package.

The camera works with gtalk only on talblet to tablet calls yet.
You can use your camera for gizmo calls. I never tried though.

If anyone has successfully used the N810 tablet <---> PC video please post all specifics.

I had tried Gizmo and several other routes and have not been successful.

Once again that's two way full crappy color and voice between the two platforms.

Thanks.

Gizmo on the tablet is ready to go for video.

You need the latest beta version of Gizmo for the PC to have video, I believe.

It works. I use it all the time. Its far from perfect but it works.

I've loaded Gizmo, but when I call the N810 from a desktop it goes straight to Gizmo voicemail and I can't use the N810 to call desk top with video - the instant messaging works ok, but I can't get it to do video calls to Gizmo on desktop (whether calling from a desktop or from the N810). Very frustrating.

Any tips would be very welcome!

Thanks

Same here, I haven't really had a successful call on Gizmo from n810 to pc.

Its either the other party can see me and I can't see them or vice versa. Sometimes when it does work, the video is not clear.

You need the windows version of gizmo (version 4.0) and the latest version on your n800. It should work out of the box... BUT... the video quality is PITIFUL. Hard to tell if thats someone you recognize on the other end, or a blurry version of Mario hit a mushroom and powering up....

I thought it was version 5 of Gizmo... I know its the beta version for Windows.

I have made successful calls from the n810 to my son on a PC using Gizmo on both ends. The video is a little choppy, but better than nothing which is what we would have otherwise...

I installed the Gizmo for my 810 from the Gizmo site
Tablet-to-tablet I have no problems.
I installed the latest beta of Gizmo 5 for Mac.
I can get video and voice working between my tablet and mac, only if the Mac calls me. So I just IM them saying, "call me" and everything works fine(ish).
