We should build a list of all the things hosted on nokia.com/or otherwise hosted by nokia and that are necessary for Maemo/Fremantle/N900 to work properly so that we can mirror everything and have a backup if/when that content disappears.

Most important is the repository, downloads.maemo.nokia.com, we need to have full mirror of this so that if/when it goes down people can still pull packages for their N900s for whatever reason they might need them).

I have a mirror downloads.maemo.nokia.com (including OVI . Latest update was about 2 years ago (Dec 23 2012 AFAIK). Meaning I did the mirror at around that date and since then no file has been touched.

Code:
$ du -m
88	./fremantle/apps
3448	./fremantle/ovi
76	./fremantle/ssu/apps
205	./fremantle/ssu/mr0
280	./fremantle/ssu
191	./fremantle/mr0
4006	./fremantle
4553	./fremantle1.2/ovi
4553	./fremantle1.2
8559	.
So about 8G. Problem is legally nobody is allowed to make this available..

Do you have copy-paste or script to let someone mirror it?
I am collecting all kind of various scarce files such the flasher, firmwares, documents, bootvideos (not essential) and saving them to my dropbox. I have 50GB storage for some years from now. In case the plug is pulled I atleast have the files and it doesn't eat my HDD space. Then, distribution are worries for later. Till that time I'll try to save what I can.

@all,

I'm using apt-mirror with (among others)
Code:
# Nokia Applications
deb https://<code>@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/apps/ ./
deb https://<code>@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/apps/ ./

# Nokia System Software Updates (Global)
deb https://<code>@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/mr0 ./
deb https://<code>@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/mr0 ./

# Ovi
deb https://<code>@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ovi/ ./
deb https://<code>@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle1.2/ovi/ ./
where <code> is the one you see on your sources.list.
Ah WTF: "qa9recEP:Pat2UGuP"

I'll anyway see if I can host the mirror externally (not on my laptop). Then we'll see what we can do about access rules.
