Rwx-calc is a small utility for calculating file and directory permissions (ACL) as found on Unix/Linux like system, including the N900.

You can provide the absolute octal values, but also press on the individual permission to see the effect on the fly.

There is support for both landscape and portrait mode. The help screen will provide some additional info on the permissions if needed.

The package can be downloaded from the extras-devel repository.

Native version for SailfishOS can be found here: https://openrepos.net/content/ade/rwx-calc

Change history:
Code:
0.0.1-0
* Initial version
0.0.1-1
* Done button to the right in landscape

Ah, yes, it helps the users who don't understand system of Linux permissions. Like me. I can write 'ls -lah' or 'chmod 0666' or 'chmod 0777', but anything more complex requires a dictionary.
Best wishes.

Just noticed that the build process has resumed and it can be downloaded from extras-devel since yesterday.

No problem, you can vote here from now: http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...-calc/0.0.1-1/

Never had any bug reports, so it is not used, or ready for extras-testing
