T-Mobile US appears to be getting serious about brave new frontiers. Check out the new Peek device they will be offering: http://seekingalpha.com/article/9384...t?source=yahoo

EDIT: thanks anderbr for the correction

Hmmm... I'd say, "who the bleep wants such a thing?", but "middle-aged women with kids" I ain't. Maybe they do want it.

I'm sure some people would like it, I'll take one for $100 once someone hacks it to run Linux.

I think the price (device and service) is going to be really attractive to some people.

I want one.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/11/te...h/11pogue.html

It's precisely what (and all) I need when out and about. I want my phone to be a phone, my tablet to be a tablet (without needing an expensive data plan), and a small email device for email. This hits my needs and price points.

And, look Ma!, I'm not even a middle aged woman with kids! (Benson, you're SO SILLY! Silly goose Benson.)

I can see this being attractive to traveling buissness people, from the corporate standpoint (the company, not the employee). As a ggaurenteed connection
but 100 bucks, for 20 a month
I dont see the ues
especially since anyone that needs email 24/7 needs a phone too

I get why tmobile would want to sell it, and ****, if people buy it theres no reason not to

but I cat imagine many people that would want it

But i am the oppostie of the demographic, so that makes sense

I actually won a Peek, it should arrive soon. I'll do a review of it when it comes.
