Maybe by touching the icon again?

Well, the two main places where I want the screen to NOT go to sleep is while navigating and while using music player in the car. Since the maps already keeps the screen awake during navigation, no biggie there.

But for the music player, touching the icon while getting in the car and touching again while getting out seems ok enough.. I'm wondering what else can you do to make this process easier. How about.. keep the proximity sensor covered for a few seconds and then pop a message saying "screen is now active" or something

"keep the proximity sensor covered for a few seconds" and just pressing the icon is the same time... even Icon is more quickly.. I think

@Schturman yup, but while driving a car, scrolling through a menu and trying to tap a 80x80 px is kinda difficult, as opposed to randomly placing your finger on the proximity sensor in any position.

I dunno, I was just throwing ideas man :P

traysh, is there a chance that you will release source code for your very handy app?

I'd say go for proximity sensor. It's easier to manipulate, you can cover it with your palm or elbow. Not just using a finger.

Of course I would!
There's a git repo included in the attached file, maybe we should upload it somewhere and work in the code together.

Edit: the git repository is too big to be attached...
Attached Files
