Note - IGG is not hi-tech crowdfunding platform. One can easily fire up a campaign to crowdfund a party. However - funds should be spent according to the goal. If you campaign for a party but spend it for an iPad - that is misappropriation of the funds.

But yes, if it ends up with production of the working unit - I'd buy one (I'm not a baker yet) despite it's already (almost) relict platform with known flaws.

I never quite understood the interest in youyota. With the support being given for Xperia I would think folks would have more fun wiith getting sailfish to work on Sony tablet. Certainly the specs are better...

I read some of the posts here, like the one about refunds. If youyota is contemplating refunds, why are they still taking people's money, as shown here

I ordered the tablet last July, and have paid little attention since. Today I followed the links from the October email because I wanted to ask about the tablet. So I go to this link

and it says "You must Contribute to this campaign to post a comment." I was logged in, but IGG didn't recognize that I had submitted $249? Am I even on record as a customer who sent $249? Can somebody find out, because I can't ask on IGG. I'm not a "contributor"!!!
WTF is going on with this catastrophic project

I scrolled down the list of backers and found my name, "Michael A Robinson 5 months ago $279" No idea why the dollar amount is different, but whatever. How about getting some communication going instead of just ignoring people for months. The last time youyota sent out any communication to its customers was in October.

That thread just confirms the obvious - Jolla cannot guarantee proper work of the image even on identical SoC (eg. X Compact or X DS).
And this is exactly the reason of the interest in YT - well-known and well-expected behaviour (like everyone knows power management sucks but otherwise all periphery is working).

Ok, I hadn't followed thread that closely but I thought there was good progress on that front. Looking down the road maybe a good thing to try would be to get Sailfish to run on Purism device. I like their philosophy. Not sure if Sailfish is completely compatible with it though (click why purism).

Briefly talked today, Michael/Youyota still tend to continue making it. As @olf mentions, it will be a waste for all if goes to the refund path... (Especially those LG 7.85 inch 2K screen wasn't seen on other products elsewhere that is still in production...)

The question is now down to timeline and cost... Hopefully will get it clear this week.
